Cultural Heritage

The Barada Barna People are recognised as traditional owners of the Isaac Plains Coal Mine project area. A cultural heritage impact assessment of the mining lease was undertaken in 2005 and a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) was developed in consultation with the Barada Barna.

The CHMP provides guidance for operators at the project in regards to the identification, protection and management of indigenous cultural heritage within the mining lease area.
